CooktownI had never been that far North before and I was very excited to go. Sydney was an excellent guide; he was very relaxed and professional. He offered correct and interesting information at well-timed intervals throughout the day. Even though we couldn't do the Bloomfield Track due to the rain, we still had a great day. The food at the Lion's Den was great. It was excellent to have such an authentic Australian experience of sitting down in such a unique pub with cold beer and given the opportunity to draw on the walls!

The accommodation at Pam's Place was very welcome after a long day on the road. It far exceeded expectations, I as very impressed with the clean modern room, ensuite, TV, fridge, fresh towels, tea and coffee and shampoo. It was nice to interact with the menagerie of animals there. The share facilities were of high standard and the hostel had a pleasant atmosphere. I enjoyed wondering around Cooktown: the museum was interesting, the shop keepers friendly and I got a great roast for $10 at the Top Pub.

Willie's tour as part of Adventure North / Gurrbbi Tour was one of the best tours I have ever been on. It was lovely to spend time with him and learn about his people, the area, Mother Nature and life in general. I was honoured to be invited to see special rock paintings, learn about Ruby and the birthing cave. Everybody I have spoke to has really enjoyed his tour and was very enthusiastic about the experience. It as hard to put into words what he does but I believe he has lots to offer people from all walks of life. If you have the money go!
