We were collected from our Picton accommodation for this tour. We enjoyed the wine a lot and picked up some lovely things to share with family over Christmas. It was nice to try some wines that were only offered in NZ and not exported to Australia or other overseas countries.
Our guide Chris was very knowledgeable of the area and was flexible taking some girls back to a winery when they decided they wanted to buy a wine they had tasted previously. She was a good driver and showed us a range of wine form the big producers down to the little organic producers.
There were also other things to try at some of the cellar doors such as bread and dukka, chocolate, local olive oil and liqueurs. We were taken to a lovely place for lunch that catered for everybody’s tastes and even food allergies.
These tours cold be enjoyed as a half day or full day.
