Wow what a rush jumping out of a perfectly good plane at 14,000ft!

An amazing adrenaline rush to get in a really small plane with a parachute and a tandem master strapped to your back. It was the perfect thing to do for my birthday. I got an excellent 60 seconds of free fall before ‘bam' the shoot opened and it felt like we were catapulted back up. Then we did circles slowly down to the ground with breathtaking views of Dunk Island before landing on the beach. I was lucky I got one of those perfect sunny spring October days.The rest of the day I spent lazing on the beach taking in the sun and reading a book, a nice way to relax after the exhilarating morning.

You can also jump closer to Cairns if you don't want to spend the whole day doing one jump. The view over the Trinity Inlet is spectacular and this leaves the rest of the day to do as you wish.

The photos and DVD were ready before the end of the day and it is still hilarious a year later to bring it out and watch my face as I get near the edge of the plane. (If I'm at work today ask me to see the DVD if you are keen.) Well worth the money! If I was a millionaire I'd do it over and over. The staff are all crazy and the whole day was wicked.
